Kinglake lost the B-Grade netball 1st Semi-Final against Powelltown by one point: 30-31. The game was played this afternoon (Sat.) at Mt Evelyn. According to the scorer’s board, and also the AFL Outer East results, Kinglake lost this match by one point. (A Reservoir blogger has posted that Kinglake won the game.)
Murrindindi Shire Council has voted to spend $300,000 towards necessary repairs to outside netball courts at Kinglake. Faults in the court have meant that they have been unable to be used for AFL Outer East competition. Instead, as a compromise, the Kinglake netballers have had to play their games all season on indoor stadium courts.

Murrindindi’s netball teams enjoyed only limited success in Saturday’s finals. Yea’s B- and C-Grade sides had disappointing losses to Powelltown and Yarra Glen respectively, at Yarra Junction.
