{"id":241,"date":"2025-01-18T22:20:08","date_gmt":"2025-01-18T11:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dindi.com.au\/wp\/?p=241"},"modified":"2025-01-18T22:20:33","modified_gmt":"2025-01-18T11:20:33","slug":"whittlesea-frv-cfa-join-to-fight-south-morang-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dindi.com.au\/wp\/2025\/01\/18\/whittlesea-frv-cfa-join-to-fight-south-morang-fire\/","title":{"rendered":"WHITTLESEA: FRV, CFA join to fight &#8216;suspicious&#8217; South Morang fire"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fire Rescue Victoria responded to a structure fire at 10.50am on January 7 on Trinity Way, South Morang after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Firefighters arrived on scene to find a single-storey brick house and garage fully involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No-one was home at the time of the fire; however, a pet dog was moved to safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Extensive damage occurred to the property, including roof collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FRV and CFA crews wore breathing apparatus to battle the blaze, which was deemed under control at 11.36am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Building Surveyor attended, and some demolition may be required to make the area safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Firefighters were involved in firefighting activity for over two hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fire was deemed suspicious and the scene handed to Victoria Police to investigate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fire Rescue Victoria responded to a structure fire at 10.50am on January 7 on Trinity Way, South Morang after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.
