WYNDHAM: New police station for Point Cook
The Point Cook community is one step closer to receiving a new state-of-the-art police station.
Anthony Carbines, Minister for Police, visited the Point Cook Homestead Rd site to mark the beginning of construction for the police station.
The $25 million investment will deliver a station with modern facilities for Victoria Police – giving them the best law enforcement infrastructure so our hardworking police can continue to keep the community safe.
The new station – built by contractor Harris HMC – is expected to be completed by the middle of next year.
Key works include constructing the single-story building, creating new car parking and landscaping, road widening, and upgrading essential services.
“As the community grows, so does the need for police resources – this new station is another investment in community safety in the west,” Mr Carbines said.
“We’re delivering modern police stations equipped with advanced design features, so our police have the facilities they need now and into the future.”
Point Cook MLA Mathew Hilakari said: “The new police station will provide better resources for our officers— giving them everything they need to do their critical work in keeping our community safe.”
