SOUTH-EAST: Labor MPs will not re-stand
Pakenham MLA Emma Vulin and Bass MLA Jordan Grugnale will not contest the State Election in November 2026.
Premier Jacinta Allan said of Ms Vulin: “Helping others is a part of who Emma is – something instilled in her from a young age.
“Emma worked in retail, administration and as a vet nurse, before following in her mum’s footsteps to become an electorate officer – a job that showed her how governments can help people at their lowest moments.
“And it was this experience that motivated her to put up her own hand to represent the community.
“As a CFA volunteer she devoted herself to protecting her community and others.”
Of Ms Crugnale, Ms Allan said: “Jordan embodies Labor values in everything she does.
“The daughter of Italian immigrants, she grew up with a strong sense of fairness, and has always cared about social justice.
“Her dad was a builder, who knew the importance of laying a solid foundation, and getting things right.”
The Liberals are hopeful of winning Bass.
