WYNDHAM: Advocacy ahead of election
Wyndham City Council has launched A Way Forward for Wyndham, a community-led election advocacy campaign calling on all candidates at the 2026 Victorian State Election to commit to 16 priority infrastructure and investment projects across roads, rail, recreation and health.
The campaign, built around four investment packages and backed by the Council’s Advocacy Prioritisation Framework, reflects years of mounting pressure on roads, public transport, health services and community facilities in one of Australia’s fastest-growing municipalities.
“Wyndham is home to 337,000 people and growing to 500,000 by 2040,” said Wyndham City’s Deputy Mayor Cr Jasmine Hill.
“Our roads are congested, our trains are overcrowded, our families wait too long for health care and community facilities. There is a way forward for Wyndham, but it requires the State Government to invest in our future.”
