WHITTLESEA: Fatality at Lalor
Police are investigating a fatal collision in Lalor on Friday morning (June 19).
Emergency services were called to reports that two cars had collided at the intersection of Dalton Rd and Burton St just after 6am.
The female passenger of the first vehicle, a 49-year-old Lalor woman, was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
The male driver, a 52-year-old Lalor man, was not injured and was arrested at the scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle was transported to hospital with minor injuries
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances of the collision.
