WYNDHAM: By-election too close to call
As Werribee by-election vote counting resumed on Monday (Feb. 10), the neck-and-neck race between Labor’s John Lister and the Liberal’s Steve Murphy continued.
Progress voting, with 75.22 per cent of the nallots total enrolled voters counted, the primary votes were:
• Raheem A. Rifai, Australian Greens, 2977, 7.47 per cent
• Steve Murphy, Liberal, 11,578, 29.04%
• Matthew Emerson, Family First Victoria, 1738, 4.36%
• Xavier Menta, Legalise Cannabis Victoria, 2198, 5.51%
• Munish Joshi, 334, 0.84%
• Sue Munro, Victorian Socialists, 2902, 7.28%
• Shohre Mansouri Jajaee, 365, 0.92%
• Kodi Mulcahy, 81, 0.20%
• Aidan McLindon, 236, 0.59%
• Paul Hopper, 5859, 14.70%
• John Lister, ALP, 11,448, 28.7%
• Aijaz Moinuddin, 153, 0.38%
