BRIMBANK: Council requests merits review on third runway
Brimbank City Council has lodged an application for a merits review of the Federal Government’s recent decision to give conditional approval to Melbourne Airport’s Third Runway Major Development Plan.
The Council says that it has taken this action due its concerns about the conditional approval.
“As always, Brimbank Council’s priority is to ensure the Third Runway does not unreasonably compromise the health, wellbeing and amenity of the community affected by Melbourne Airport,” said a City representative.
“Brimbank Council now awaits the listing of the matter before the Federal Administrative Review Tribunal. Brimbank Council is committed to providing the community with an update on the next steps when possible.”
